The month of March, 2012 has witnessed a number of activities all around the state which have direct/indirect impact towards industrial/infrastructure scenario of the state. Udyog Bandhu is pleased to share with you the gist of them :-
 

Uttar Pradesh enriched  by 300 MW

 The 4th unit of Rosa Thermal Plant has enriched the state power supply by 300 mw. The project, scheduled to be completed in July this year, has got commissioned on March 31 and is running on a full load capacity. With this, the power plant achieved its full capacity of 1,200 MW. The plant has four units of 300 MW capacities each.

Agra-Lucknow Expressway 

This “08 lane access controlled Expressway" from Agra to Lucknow has been considered for constructing under PPP mode. This green field expressway shall be based on minimum distance formula having the potential of providing a smooth link from Greater Noida to Lucknow. Hence the journey time from Greater Noida to Lucknow via Agra covering about 530 km, presently consumes time of around 9 hours would now drastically be reduced to 5 hours. Likewise the 6 hours journey of 365 km between Agra and Lucknow would reduce to around 3.30 hours through this proposed Expressway. UPEIDA has been nominated as nodal agency.

 

In order to maintain Ecological balance a large numbers of trees would be planted for retaining the rain water in the field. Suitable techniques of rain harvesting shall also be adopted to raising ground water level. Eco-

 

friendly parks shall be developed along the expressway for neutralizing air and noise pollution and maintaining ecological balance owing to this expressway. Further, to maintain greenery and abundant water supply Lakes and Ponds shall be developed on both sides of proposed Agra-Lucknow expressway.

 In order to promote industrialization in the state and to facilitate the small entrepreneurs desirous to setting up new unit, Udyog Bandhu has made available detailed project profile on various sectors like Mechanical, Metallurgical, Hosiery, Electrical, and Chemical Products, etc. at its web site (https:\\udyogbandhu.com). The profiles have been got prepared by Development Commissioner (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises), Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India.

 

Entrepreneurs may take advantages of these profiles.

Progress of PPP projects

 

As per plan of upgrading NEDA's Micro Hydel Projects to enhancing its generation capacity, bids of shortlisted bidders have been opened and are being evaluated by the Department. Soon developer shall be finalized. Developers for seven of Micro Hydel Projects (six of Jal Vidhut Nigam and one of UPNEDA) have already been selected involving generation capacity of 29.95 MW having total estimated cost of Rs. 253.02 crores.

Operation and Technical Training

 

Udyog Bandhu is striving hard to make Nivesh Mitra successful in the state. Recently, new 27 districts of the state have been brought into the ambit of Nivesh Mitra in addition to 18 districts, where Nivesh Mitra was already in operation. With the aim that new entrepreneurs may take the full advantage of Nivesh Mitra online web portal in all these 27 districts, a full-fledged technical training is being provided to the nodal officers along with one assistant of all 12 department cover under it, at Udyog Bandhu office by engaging the expert team of its consultant. The training is likely to be completed by 1st week of May 2012.

 

Consultant finalized for behavioral and motivational Training

 

Nivesh Mitra online web portal has now become operational in 45 districts of the state. It was thought prudent that entrepreneurs using this web portal should have a fair idea about Nivesh Mitra and simultaneously the officers of concerned departments must have good relationship with the entrepreneurs. To maintain such relationship and to providing better services to prospective entrepreneurs, a behavioral and motivational Training is on anvil for creating awareness amongst the departmental officers and entrepreneurs at district level. Consultant has been finalized. Soon consultant would submit a detailed module. This training session would be of two days.
