Ways for SMEs to grow bigger - India SME Conclave -2011Conclave

The Entrepreneurship Cell of IIM, Lucknow in association with IIA (Indian Industries Association) conducted the third edition of India SME Conclave -2011 at IIM campus on 26th Nov.of 2011.
Sri V N Garg, Infrastructure & Industrial Development (IIDC) commissioner, Govt. of U.P. inaugurated the SME Conclave. He explained about the initiatives and various schemes and incentive available for the MSMEs sector. He urged the financial institutions/commercial banks to provide proper exit strategy for the sick companies and asked them to provide credit to the sector on lower rate of interest to make the SMEs more competitive.

U.P. Government signs agreement with Ernst & Young for developing a Strategy for Investment Promotion in UP
An agreement between Udyog Bandhu and M/s Ernst & Young Pvt. Ltd., a prominent consultancy firm across the globe, has been inked on 17th November, 2011 for carrying out a study on Strategy Formulation on Investment Promotion in Uttar Pradesh. It is expected that this would surely pave way to attract more investment in various sectors of state's economy and also to provide better and improved services to the entrepreneurs with regard to their issues pending with other Government Departments.

This success story of motorsport has imbibed more confidence in the mind and heart of the citizens across the globe that India is now ready to host the most challenging of International sports, providing as world class infrastructure and sporting enjoinment as anywhere in the world.
The Formula-One, the highest class of single seater auto racing craze, is already making people go wild. Buddh International Circuit, the racing arena in Greater Noida was where this thrilling event took place on 28, 29 and 30th of October, 2011. India's first Formula-One Airtel Grand Prix India at Jaypee Green Sports City has been movement of pride for the entire nation.

U P Day-A Great Success in International Trade Fair
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Ms. Mayawati visited the U.P. Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair at New Delhi on 16th November, 2011. She evinced keen interest in the attractive tableaux showcasing the saga of development in Uttar Pradesh. She was all praise for the tableaux showing the memorials at Lucknow and Noida, dedicated to the saints, gurus and great souls born in the Dalit and OBC communities.
The exhibits at the U.P. Pavilion include world famous exquisite woollen carpets of Bhadohi made by perfect artisans, mini-tractors, battery lift cranes, transformers and several products from Meerut. The Theme Hall showcases handicraft items of the State that have earned world acclaim. Besides, a glimpse of State's progress is presented through the translight. The development works in Noida and Greater Noida also feature at the Pavilion.
